Dear readers! If I tell you, that looking
around, we will see plenty of articles, presenting if not the tube itself,
then at least the former tube, as for example gas-bag etc.,- will you
be able to object me? And that is not saying about the manufacturing, where
this simple, of perfect form creation of man’s idea is met at every step!
That is not quite true, that fame of a wheel, that began the new era in
civilization development, eclipsed the fame of this miracle, it is
impossible to imagine the life of mankind without it, you know.
The ancient art of
tubes manufacturing one may call the top of a modern metallurgical
manufacturing and people, who are good judges of it, are ready to speak
about it for hours with a great enthusiasm. As, for example, the general
director first deputy of association “Ukrtruboprom”, the part of which is
R&PC “Trubostal”, Anatoliy Nikolayevich Fateyev. He noticed: “ After
the point, nought and wheel the tube-line is on the forth place in the
hierarchy of great inventions, the man spied by Nature”.
Our region with its
developed mining-metallurgical complex has always had a great
scientific-technical and manufacturing potential in tubes industry. But for
the last ten years, with the beginning of economic forming on the basis of
new principles of interrelations, both the tube plants and other basic
fields began to settle all the current and future questions of their
activity independently (read – they were just left for the mercy of fate
when the economical relations collapsed), crisis occurrences have become
the every-day reality. Nevertheless, Ukraine keeps on taking the leading
world positions among the tubes product manufacturers and providing the
state budget with the considerable part of foreign currency incoms.
We should thank here
people, who not just kept everything, that was gained in this sub-field by
experts, but keep on improving such a difficult, science-capacious
manufacturing. The General Director of Research & Production
Corporation “Trubostal”, academician of Academy of Eengineering sciences of Ukraine, Dr Alexandr
Isaakovich Feldman, is among such people.
“That is a competent,
full of energy, enterprising and purposeful person,- said A.N.Fateyev about
A.I.Feldman. – He was able to organize work in the new conditions, taking
into account the expectations of contemporary users of this production”.
R&PC “Trubostal” history begins in 1989. The “Trubostal” of today is
an enterprise of nongovernmental form of property, occupying the area of
more then 50ha. Its manufacturing base is, in the first place,
independently built new plant to manufacture tubing joint elements (elbows
etc.) with the own mobile tubes manufacturing. The second main
manufacturing is created on the basis of one of the oldest shops of OJSC
“Nikopol Pivdenno-trubniy” plant – the tubes–casting shop, the equipment of
which was received by reparation from Germany at the end of 40-s. The
creation of CJSC “R&PA “Trubolit”, the main investor of which is
Trubostal, has been subjected to the radical reconstruction for the last
two years.
The main enterprise
equipment includes lines to manufacture steel elbows, melting induction and
electric arc furnaces, machines for manufacturing centrifugally-cast tubes,
thermo-means, assemblies of machining complex of elbows and tubes with
diameter up to 1000mm, cold rolling pilger mills,drawing and shaping mills,
for tubes welding etc. That allows producing a wide range of products
necessary for nuclear and thermal power, chemical manufacturing,
metallurgy, machine building, glass and refractory industry and also used
in oil and gas production and refining including for quarrying diamond and
gold. The complex of car service centers, furniture producing, shopsnetwork
etc. are built for social problems solving.
Thanks to permanent
improving of technology and equipment, R&PC “Trubostal” has mastered
the producing of wide range of centrifugally cast tubes almost from all steel
grades and alloys with dimensions range: diameter range from 130 up to 1020mm, wall
thickness range from 20 up to 200mm, length up to 6,2m.
We should mention that using such type of casting, centrifugal forces have
a wholesome effect on castings quality: they finally content less quantity
of non-metallic and gas inclusions and have better, then usual, mechanical
properties. Such articles may be compared only with forged ones.
Of course, centrifugal
cast does not exclude other ways of tubes producing, but in some cases it
is irreplaceable. One can’t manage without it when producing thick-walled
tubes and billets of high-alloy steels and alloys that are not included
into the range of standards on hot-deformed tubes. Their producing is
mastered by R&PC “Trubostal”.
Also bimetallic
products are manufactured here: tubes with diameter range up to 1000mm,
elbows with diameter range from 45mm up to 630mm. The applying of
bimetallic articles provides not only economizing of metal and increases
service life, but also creates special possibilities when using them in
different mediums. Sometimes some technological processes in chemical,
mining and oil refining industries and also in nuclear power and machine
building require using of exactly bimetallic tubes. They are irreplaceable
when creating the new and modernizing the existing technological processes,
cars, constructions and devices in all branches of science and technology.
The successful
enterprise formation has been possible in the first place thanks to great
attention, paid to modernization of equipment and creation of new casting
capacities, purchasing of modern casting machines and peripheral equipment,
the technological and ecological discipline is strictly followed when heat-
and machine-treatment of tubes, the product certification according to ISO
9002 is being finished.
R&PC “Trubostal”
has the strictly defined sphere of activity in tubes and machine building
manufacturing, what is nowadays called ”the own niche”, skillfully provides
marketing and reasonably defines the price policy. Trubostal is ready to a
high-professional cooperation and interrelation with all industry branches
not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. The recognition of enterprise merits
in manufacturing of high-quality and competitive products is awarding “The Gold Star for
quality” for products, delivered to Europe.
